How to use this course

This course teaches a universal core that applies in any country, and layers two things on top of it. A Cameroon Spotlight box in each chapter gives the specific institutions, procedures, documents and rules that apply if you are importing into Cameroon. A Your Country prompt tells learners based elsewhere exactly what to look up locally, and Appendix A of the outline collects these into one checklist you can complete for your own country.

Two chapters are entirely dedicated to practical, sourcing-side reality that most import courses skip: Chapter 5 covers the actual e-commerce and B2B platforms you are likely to buy from, including Alibaba, AliExpress, 1688, Shein and Amazon, with scam patterns and verification steps specific to each one. Chapter 11 covers the freight forwarders and customs brokers you will hire in Cameroon, how to verify they are properly licensed, and whether the same company can also handle your exports.

Work through the chapters in order the first time, since later chapters assume you understand the vocabulary and process from earlier ones. After that, use the course as a reference: jump straight to the chapter you need before your next shipment.
