Duty drawback refunds duty already paid on imported inputs that are later re-exported, whether unchanged or incorporated into a manufactured product; inward processing allows duty-free or duty-suspended import of components that will be processed and re-exported; and temporary admission, covered in Chapter 13, allows duty-free import of goods that will leave again without ever entering the domestic market. Each of these can meaningfully improve margins for the right kind of business, particularly manufacturers and re-exporters, but each also carries administrative requirements that only pay off once your volume justifies the paperwork.
