Supplier due diligence

This video marks itself complete once you've watched most of it. Not yet marked complete.
0:00How do you know a supplier is real?
0:02You verify, before you send any money.
0:06Check three things.
0:08That the business registration actually exists,
0:10and matches the name on their invoices and bank details.
0:15Their years in operation and transaction history, where a platform shows it.
0:20And for a significant order,
0:22ask for a live video call showing their production floor.
0:27A supplier that refuses a video call,
0:29or grows evasive about where their factory is,
0:33is showing you a serious warning sign.
0:37For larger or recurring orders, consider a paid third-party factory audit.
0:43An independent inspection company visits the factory and confirms it is real,
0:48checks its capacity and quality systems, and reports back to you.
0:53It costs money, but it is inexpensive next to the cost of a failed container.
1:00Verify first.
1:01Pay second.
