State an acceptable quality tolerance (for example, an acceptable defect rate per batch), a remedy if goods fail inspection (replacement, discount, or return at the supplier's cost), a penalty or remedy for late delivery, and a warranty period during which faults found after sale can be claimed back against the supplier. Without these terms in writing, you have very limited leverage if something goes wrong after payment.
